in Fitzroy North at:

RED GALLERY

One morning an artist wakes up in a new body and experiences a multitude of emotions, thoughts, and feelings. In 2021 Grey Alexander took on the label of “non-binary” and that nebulous, vague, and persistent sense finally found words. Since then the concept of gender and body has evolved for the artist, lingering in a dreamscape of “what if?” These paintings explore the curiosity, confusion, trepidation and delight amid the dysphoria and euphoria of finding newness in oneself.
